personally, I think it is crazy, but she is having fun. We'll just see how far we get! I would much rather spend 3-4 days in each place and see less, but thats apparently not where this girl is at!
I still attempt to coerce her into writing in this blog, but no luck yet...I'll keep trying
She did, however, sign up with the Lonely Planet Thorn Tree, and has begun posting...oh, my swelling heart...
now with all the snow here, it makes Central America look that much more appealing...
be sure to check out my other blog
the dreama zone
I post there much more regularly, and usually about the darn snow.

Well, I have my vacation approved for April 15th to May 8th...now all I need is the money to buy my ticket...hopefully will have that next week and once the ticket is bought...WE ARE GOING!
I tried to convince my travelling partner to blog and she wasn't buying any of it...I don't understand it really...she loves to write, and loves to talk about our trips, but yet isn't interested in blogging? I'll have to work a little harder yet...
We have to contact the doctor next week to arrange to have our Hep A shots. Both of us already have the Hep B, and that seems to be all we need according to the WHO. We will get a prescription for malaria meds too. I hear they can have some yucky side effects, but hope that isn't the case with us.
We haven't really planned much, but it will soon be time to kick it up a notch. I know that I want to see some Mayan ruins, a volcano, a coral reef, and visit the markets in Guatemala...I also want to buy a sombrero...the gaudiest one I can find!
Also on the list of things to do is to check out some hostels and 1 star hotels...we will likely stick with hotels as the hostels do not appear to be the big thing down there like they are in Europe. which is fine...I like the privacy and the security of a hotel room, but will miss the atmosphere of a hostel. I'm sure we will meet plenty of people though...we're just so cute...lol
I managed to transfer all of Amber's patches from her old backpack to the new one I bought her for Christmas. I didn't sew them on this time, but bought some contact cement, as I didn't want to ruin the waterproof/resistant quality of her new pack. She only has just a few yet, but will buy more down south when we go, along with her usual collectors item, shot glasses...those shouldn't be ANY problem! My collector item that I buy is thimbles, so I hope I can manage to get some....I also buy patches, and postcards....

With any luck, I will get my fellow travelling partner to post here as well. She is a blogging newbie...
stay tuned!
